Solitude

Through the dark winters of loneliness
Dreaming - hearth-fire of the mind -
Is friend. And fellowships imagined
are the summers of Companionship
In our yearning.

Loneliness Versus Solitude

Loneliness and solitude
Both denote lack of contact with people!

But

Loneliness is a sense of isolation
Solitude is a sense of seclusion
Loneliness is an emotional response unpleasant
Solitude is an emotional response pleasant

Loneliness can be felt even when surrounded by people
Solitude cannot be felt when surrounded by people
Loneliness is a powerful feeling of emptiness
Solitude is a powerful feeling of fullness

Loneliness includes social factor that is thrust
Solitude includes social factor that is choicest
Loneliness is caused by lack of friendship
Solitude is caused to give others a skip

Loneliness visits every human soul at sometime
Solitude is frequent to human souls sublime
Loneliness is a feeling of being disconnected from others
Solitude is not a feeling of being disconnected from others

Loneliness expresses the pain of being alone
Solitude expresses the glory of being alone
Loneliness has negative effects on individuals
Solitude has positive effects on individuals

Loneliness is a social pain
Solitude is a social gain
Loneliness sends one to a pit of despair
Solitude leads one to the acme to prepare

Loneliness is an attitude—causing anxious feelings
Solitude is an attitude—causing joyous feelings
Loneliness is a subjective experience
Solitude is an objective experience

Loneliness plays the part when in distress
Solitude plays the part in creative process
Loneliness, in short, is when one is unhappy to be alone
Solitude, in short, is when one is happy to be alone!

An Ode To Solitude

The sun unraveled its light, the river flowed untamed, a candle lit of a passing day. The way of solitude, the silent of the morn, the sun unraveled its light-endlessly reborn, blood color roses caged by thorns.Sweet solitude, affliction gained, a prayer on the heart is worn, I turn away, scars upon my hands, so little attained. My soul -the locusts sworm over egypt, the night became a poem, dust are we-the falling of the blade-the chalice wept its wine-I am everywhere and nowhere-the doors of perception are open-heavens of gold, in the sky I'm told-let madness take hold, I take to solitude in my humble abode. Much wine to drink-let the world die-let us drink, for soon I'll hide, so let the world die-so let the world die, for soon.....I'll hide.

Forgiving Solitude

FORGIVING SOLITUDE

Solitude is wrongful let my tears shed
Cry of loneliness, for I can not bear
To see the crowding world that I'd long fled,
To seek the cloak of solitude to wear;
How wrong was I, (now I see crystal clear
That sol'tude was my foe and not my friend)
Will I forgive you, while you wrong me dear?
I may forgive solitude in the end.

Take-off, solitude from my hosting head
For she dizzy my vision here and there;
No one by my side, this I sadly dread
I hate to stay in sol'tude year to year
To live lone and die; This I greatly fear,
I wish to join the chatt'ring world and spend-
-Time away, if this come to pass i'll swear-
-I may forgive solitude in the end.

In solitude as the unborn or dead
While I stride through haunting earth in despair,
I take the loneliest of all paths to tread
Away with myself, in my lonely lair,
Sol'tude by my side whisp'ring in my ear
Telling lone tales, I can not comprehend
I pray my lonely life, should disappear
I may forgive solitude in the end.

But once I'd join the crowding world in cheer
I'll care-less if solitude i've offend;
If solitude repents and do not dare
I may forgive solitude in the end.
