Sea Facts!

It is known sea food
Puts you in sea mood
It is known the sea floor
Extends to a sea shore

These are common sea facts
Like when sea waves are calm and free
Crashing to the shore endlessly attracts
Everyone to take of in jest and flee
See not and hear not, there is no evil
Above and below sea level

Most seaports
Have a seaside resort
And most seafronts
Have a sea restaurant

But many rooms with a sea view
Are yet to see a sea rescue
Or watch a sea adventure
With any or at least one sea creature
Like a sea mammal
Or a sea animal

These are common sea facts
The sea has such beauty to attract
With sea shells
Woven from sea spells
To treasured sea beds
And to cherubic sea birds

You need seamanship
To take a sea ship on a trip
Or fly a seaplane
As a sea captain

There have been sea battles and sea bandits
The sea is a venue people love to use to meet
There have been sea monsters and seaquakes
Believe you me some of these myths are not fake
And now I have given you a little sea taste
I urge you not to let these sea facts go to waste

These are common sea facts
On your knowledge they most have made an impact!

Sea Fishing Off the Jetty

Out on the jetty, men froze -
All in the game of casting rods

Midnight laughed, chose another
Wave to throw upon the mortals

So they turned up the Tilley lamp -
Warmed up hope and gave comfort

The blue-black clouds, overweight
With snow and gloom, dumped their icy guts

Gales ripped, night ghouls howled, and
Banshees wailed from stinging snow

But Man's WWII tenacity stood up hard
In granite block - Man must show manliness,
Beat the wretchedness of Nature's raw power,
Take home the catch - the worthy catch -
Raison d'κtre; tell His women of the perils endured

The essence of sea fishing purred.

  3.

some sea-thoughts

i saw the sea
in high pressure
or in low pressure
moderation she knows not

i saw the sea
weeping its heart out
pity, none to notice
her pain or tears

i saw the sea
stretching its parched
tongue for a dropp of water
to quench her thirst

i saw the sea
looking longingly
at the dark clouds
passing by...

i saw the sea
raising beyond her
desperate to touch
the moon beyond

i saw the sea
caressing the sky
the sky bloomed
the sea smiled

i saw the sea
in my palm
i saw the sea
in my heart
i saw the sea
in your eyes

how i wish to
be one with the sea

Travel Haiku - The Dead Sea

dead sea unscrolls
a new chapter for
Christiandom

Dead Sea
the newspaper and me
float along

Dead Sea
the water lifts us
up to read

Dead Sea
the sun our lamp
the sea our dunllop

Dead Sea
it fends to keep us
afloat

Dead Sea
alive with
great history

Dead Sea
history keeps it
alive

Dead Sea
the scrolls give
Isaias a new voice

Dead Sea
found - scrolls that keep
God's words alive

Dead Sea
a rebirth for Christianity
in the hidden scrolls

Dead Sea
alive enough to lift
us all up

Dead Sea
and he asks
is it actually dead?

his phobia
the pilgrimage of the Dead Sea
cancelled

Reaching 1,373 feet below sea level, the shores of the Dead Sea are the lowest dry point on earth and its water is the second saltiest on the planet. Over the last 50 years, the Dead Sea has lost a third of its surface area to irrigation and hydroelectricity projects, and sinkholes have further siphoned water from the sea into underground caverns, reaching a water level dropp rate of three feet per year in 2006.
