school
school is a daily routine for us
in the morning. we're sure to make a fuss
Even when the sun is still not up,
Here we are, awake at 6 am sharp
We feel that school is such a bore
We feel that school is such a chore
Parents say 'School's great! Now, go! '
We say ' Well what do you know? '
Late a minute and we have to run
Eye half open, shoelaces undone
We reach school and we see our friends,
Immediately, the torture ends
We have a chat and go with the flow
The the bell rings, it is time to go
We may at times find school stressful
To have some fun, we have to bend some rules
Talk back to teachers, and detention we serve
No doubt, it is sometimes what we deserve
Sometimes they are as cold as ice
And other times they're actually really nice
They teach us and give us a helping hand
They're forever ready to listen and be a friend
they have built much confidence in us
Just not when they are being really harsh
Over the years of education
Never have had so much learning with action
Such as camps, experiments, concerts and activities
We've learn so much and even saved trees
A wise teacher once said aloud-
Success is failaure turned inside out
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
Rest if you must, but dont u quit
Some may see school as a torture chamber
Some cannot wait for the holidays in December
But it depends on how we look at school
Honestly, positively

We Are Cool! ! !
School School School
We are the fools
follow the rules
But we are cool! ! !
Teacher is a God
hands are the rod
We are the frauds
But we are cool! ! !
Exams are final
study the phylum
Physics is a force
English is so bore
But we are cool! ! !
Group of friends
makes the trend
call it band
But we are cool! ! !
Make a knot
that maths is a chord
always make you fall
But we are cool! ! !
Missing the school days
enjoying the old ways...
Life of school
Is like water cool...
School school school
we are the cool! ! !
School Life Rocks! ! !

chapter one- The key in the darkness
'youll be fine! ', said my mom in a calm tone of voice.
I was sitting in my mom warm car, look out at the passanger seat window.Out that window was my new school. The school Id been waiting all summer to go to. My older school was a very small, private school. Im mean this school was extreemly small, to the point that the average people in each class was about 15 students. My old school was also very strict, catholic school. To also a point were we went to chapel every sunday and even had religious class everyday.
As I looked to my mom and said good-bye, i stepped out of the car.As i was walking towards the school I could feel my hands getting sweaty and my heart beating a little faster. As i reached out my hand to grab those big double door to my new school, i stopped. Just for a breif moment i thought that this was it, no turning back. that beyond those doors might be pure joy or pure sadness.
But what I didnt know, is that beyond those door what truly lied ahead for my future.

A Gray Area
a gray area exists when the light dulls &
when it begins to tint this way
we run frantic, like the unluckiest chicken on the
farm,
whos up next for a beheading-
like roaches scampering from a dry place to a damp one &
though the light is craved by many
the reality is that so many more live in the darkness
wishing, wanting & waiting
for a chance to walk into the gray
with that almost seemingly impossible notion that
the light on the other side
may be open to one more
occupant.
crossing through the gray area requires a better hand
than one is born with,
if one wasnt born with the silver spoon-
it requires those things found necessary to survive
under the mans pressing thumb
it requires money, ultimately &
in the disease ridden system
which breathes in dollar bills (for now)
in order to get it,
there are a series of steps perpetuated by the old money &
updated, supported & thrust upon the rest of us by the
new money-
so that if you stay in school &
if you do well in school &
if you apply to college &
you get into that college &
you dont dropp out from that college &
you do well in that college &
you apply to a grad school, or a med school or a
law school &
you do get into that school &
you do well in that school &
you come out of that school all the better,
you are supposed to be well equipped to
get a job whose pay will correspond to all the years spent
going in & out of schools
keeping your brain to the metal &
putting anything else in your life on hold
until you are ready to make that paper in the
real world.
but when all your academic struggle is over,
you still have all the debt you accrued while
dreaming
that one day youd be able to pay it all off,
that one day,
youd be able to walk through that gray area
from dark to light &
thrive,
like the good capitalist empire has
promised-
in fact, if you have traveled from other countries
believing all the images & stories
from exported american films,
you are in even more dire straits,
for the inability to get a job &
pay off all the debt,
might mean dragging yourself back to your
native country,
now, with a debt the size of jupiter &
nothing but disappointment in the eyes of
all the people who put their beliefs in you
when you decided to move to
the land of the free.
staring in the mirror
said individual finds themselves stating out loud
(as if anyone was listening)
that had i known things were going to end up like this,
i never would have tried so hard.
