Heralded Mega Earthquakes

epidemic season of mega earthquakes
is pending waiting sweeping continents
overdue earthquakes building pressure
global mega faults finally ready to snap

major cites sitting prone fear quake faults
awaiting dreading pending big one victims
suffer shock mega earthquakes tomb bencher
centuries massing weights reaper sprung trap

Hiding Target Marked By Sex Pistol T-Shirts

not aware of world around us
even though life writing about
our most direct environment

implies limited deficient
interaction with reality
an escape into safer fantasy

teenage lost angels
wearing sex pistol t-shirts
fail to scare potential foes

ill chosen mask lacks threat
attracts instead of repels adversaries
satan mind sick grins attacks

hermit crabs discard outgrown shells
safety is often best found in invisibility
sex pistol t-shirts as a safe sanctuary

used to scare off threats
to self from hunting attackers
is not hiding safe from hurt

Home Baking And Scones

I didn't think women made scones
any more.

People still have tea and scones!

Home baking and scones
are memories remembered...

from the earliest childhood years...

when family was primary
and the housewife's role, was esteemed honoured.

Homeless Limp Past Heartless

shifting faces echo homeless
record evicted economic woes
weather weep bitter chill turns

slept under rough shelters
as river to ice flows turns
streets empty hard homeless

lost jobs homes families hopes
were once close neighbours lives
not less human heartless eyes
