Another Day
I woke today from fitful sleep,
In dreams, confusion reigns,
Looked from my window to the street,
It was a dismal day.
The sky was dark, with heavy clouds,
And beneath those clouds, the sun,
Was rising up to meet the day,
Just, as I had done.
The kettle filled, my coffee cup,
Was there for me to drink,
I pour the milk, oh no, its off,
I pour it down the sink.
I have it black, not to my taste,
But yes, it does the trick,
If Im to get to work on time,
Its best that I make haste.
I brush my teeth, and then the shower,
Becomes my waterfall,
Im somewhere in the tropics now,
So far away, from home.
I dress and lift my bag and keys,
And make way for the door,
I pull my scarf around my head,
To shield me from the cold.
Arrive at work, and very soon,
Im ready for the day,
What problems will they find for me,
To make me, earn my pay.
As lunchtime comes, the clear blue sky,
With clouds akin to lace,
Will beckon me to icy paths,
The sun; warm on my face.
Late afternoon, the sun goes down,
The sky a burning red,
The evening passes in a flash,
And now its time for bed.

Breath Of Life
You are the sun that rises each new day,
You are the stars that guide me on my way,
You are the moon that shines on me each night,
You are the candle flame you are my light,
You are the tide that gently ebbs and flows,
You are the scent of summers sweetest rose,
You are the gentle sound of summer rain,
You are the soothing balm to ease my pain,
You are the wind that blows my cares away,
You are the crutch I lean on day by day,
You are the fire that burns into my soul,
You are the part of me that made me whole,
You are the sound of music to my ears,
You are the courage sent to ease my fears,
You are the song, the words of every line,
You are the road ahead you are the sign,
You are the tender taste of morning dew,
You are the rainbows multi coloured hue,
You are the love that came to set me free,
You are the very breath of life to me.

Burnished
Its such a stunning sight to see,
Sun shining on an autumn tree,
The leaves now burnished by the gold,
An awesome sight, if truth be told.

Fall In Love
I didnt want to fall in love again,
Now every waking thought is one of you,
Becoming temporarily insane,
Now tell me, are you feeling crazy too,
I have your photograph within a frame,
And night and morning I reach out and touch,
Its signed with love and then you wrote your name,
I gaze upon the face I love so much,
I look at me, so happy by your side,
Delighting in your very company,
The way I feel about you, I cant hide,
My love shines bright, for all the world to see.
I didnt want to fall in love with you,
I did, and now I dont know what to do.
