A Wintry Walk
Today I took a wintry walk,
Around snow covered hills,
Passed cottages with windows sills,
Bedecked in icicles,
They shed their tears upon the ground,
Like little drops of rain,
Immunity from sadness,
For ice can feel no pain,
In temporary transition,
They leave no mark or stain,
Await evaporation,
Now free to rain again.

Autumn Leaves
The autumn leaves,
Abandoned tree,
The red and yellow,
Now are free,
A golden carpet,
Natures joy,
Now trampled on,
By girl and boy,
In loves young dream,
And hand in hand,
They touch but never,
Understand,
That life is short,
And oh so sweet,
Like falling leaves,
On city street,
Theyre taken by,
The wind that blows,
The naked tree,
Where life still flows,
Awaiting spring,
To bud again,
The autumn leaves,
Will feel no pain.

Bit The Dust
I just wrote a book,
Wrote a novel,
Wrote a song,
Took a picture,
Of you,
The book chapter one,
The beginning,
The end,
At the start,
Volume two.
The middle bit,
Censored, now empty,
A story of love,
And of lust,
The critics critique,
Never ending,
Another one,
Just bit the dust.

Hello, My Friends
Hello, my friends,
Im back again,
Im now feeling,
Calmer and rested,
I still have my pain,
Its been quite a drain,
And my spirits,
Have truly been tested.
I went to the hills,
Gave up on the pills,
Spent time in some quiet,
Meditation,
I was all on my own,
With not even a phone,
Twenty miles from,
The nearest train station.
I sat on a rock,
Had no time to talk,
Or engage in,
Polite conversation,
I just passed the day,
No particular way,
More effective than,
Damn medication.
I still have my pain,
But Im on track again,
And Im feeling,
Much brighter tonight,
I may not have a cure,
But one things for sure,
I now have my strength back,
To fight.
While I was away,
I do have to say,
I missed all my friends,
On the corner,
And now that Im home,
Im not so alone,
And my heart is now,
Feeling much warmer.
