It's Raining
I must say I was glad to see the rain,
That fell and washed the ice and snow away,
Though beautiful it causes me disdain,
I cannot wait until Im home again,
And home again where all is safe and warm,
All worry and concern are left behind,
A place of sanctuary from winters storm,
Where solace and sobriety, I find.
The rain now comes to paint the landscape green,
And moves us ever nearer to the spring,
When springtime comes new life and hope is seen,
Together with the joy the season brings.
Today I was so pleased to see the rain,
The snow is gone; you wont hear me complain.

Lay Me Down
Lay me down,
On eider and on lace,
That I may see the love,
Upon your face,
Lay me in the shadow,
Of your smile,
That I may share my life,
With you a while,
Lay me down,
On silken summer sand,
That I may come to know,
And understand,
Lay me at the place,
Where rainbows end,
That I may be with you,
My love, my friend.

Love Is....
Love,
Is just a feeling,
Triggered somewhere,
Deep inside,
An instant recognition,
That has no place,
To hide,
Its a feeling that,
You want to keep,
Forever,
In your soul,
Yet shout it,
From the rooftops,
For its surely,
Made you whole,
Loves happy,
In seclusion,
Contented,
In a crowd,
A thought conveyed,
In silence,
Reciprocated, loud.
A look, a touch,
A gentle smile,
Conversing,
On a phone,
Youll know love,
When you find it,
For it feels like,
Coming home.

My Love Remains
My love remains where I belong,
A fragrant scent, the sweetest song,
Thoughts lie softly on my heart,
To stab me with a poisoned dart,
Now tarnished by my one desire,
And ever eager for the fire,
My love alone will light the flame,
To leave it burning, speak his name,
Whisper silently within,
I am nothing without him.
Yet I am all because of this,
A love that touched me with a kiss,
His face returns to haunt sometimes
And when it comes, the poetry rhymes,
The sun sends forth a healing ray,
And the child in me comes out to play,
For time wont dim the memory,
Its branded in the heart of me,
I face the truth, no more to lie,
I knew his love, now I can die.
