For Old Times Sake
For old times sake, lets walk down memory lane,
Recalling sweetest memories of the past,
Lets feel the love that came before the pain,
When we believed our love was meant to last,
Lets take ourselves back to our windswept beach,
And walk in barefoot on those golden sands,
Lets try to touch the stars just out of reach,
And find contentment just by holding hands,
Lets silently behold the majesty.
Of finding magic rainbows in the sky,
Lets speak of love and life in honesty,
And watch the stormy clouds go passing by,
A myriad of broken dreams and pain,
For old times sake, lets walk down memory lane.

From A Window
From a window, I can see the trees,
Bend gently in the chilly eastern breeze,
I see the sun light up the darkest sky,
And watch a puffball cloud go passing by.
And from a window, I see yonder hill,
Now frosted by an icy winter chill,
And yet the sky above so crystal clear,
So lovely is my view, this time of year.
From a window, I see all I need to know,
I see the rain turn into flakes of snow,
I feel a sense of calm from deep within,
And I am on the outside, looking in.

Hazy
Im feeling slightly lazy,
And not a little hazy,
I should be getting on,
And doing things,
But I really cant be bothered,
With the tedium Im offered,
And Im happy to be doing,
My own thing.
I cant be bothered talking,
And I tried my hand at walking,
But I met so many people,
On the way,
And they spoke about the weather,
The latest on Big Brother,
Excuses made,
I make my getaway.
Im happy in seclusion,
Unwelcome, their intrusion,
I need to be alone,
Just for today,
So Im home alone, contented,
Watch a movie that Ive rented,
And the company can wait,
Another day.
Tomorrow will be brighter,
My spirit will be lighter,
Ill be happy just to listen,
To their woes,
In the meantime Ill aspire,
To get a little higher,
But Im lazy and Im hazy,
And it shows.

Hello, My Friends
Hello, my friends,
Im back again,
Im now feeling,
Calmer and rested,
I still have my pain,
Its been quite a drain,
And my spirits,
Have truly been tested.
I went to the hills,
Gave up on the pills,
Spent time in some quiet,
Meditation,
I was all on my own,
With not even a phone,
Twenty miles from,
The nearest train station.
I sat on a rock,
Had no time to talk,
Or engage in,
Polite conversation,
I just passed the day,
No particular way,
More effective than,
Damn medication.
I still have my pain,
But Im on track again,
And Im feeling,
Much brighter tonight,
I may not have a cure,
But one things for sure,
I now have my strength back,
To fight.
While I was away,
I do have to say,
I missed all my friends,
On the corner,
And now that Im home,
Im not so alone,
And my heart is now,
Feeling much warmer.
