Bitter sweet (senryu)
bitter, sweet, lover
happy, sad, impossible

Black and White
I am a black man
Though my skin is white
I have crossed the Jordan
And seen the fires
Burning
In the hearts of innocent men
The lies have been told too many times
But truth cant be hidden from the eyes of God
Stand back
The screams of the deaf have shattered the stars
Visions of the blind, blotted the sun
And mad men rage at the tightening noose
Justice hanged
With a civilized cord.
Take my black heart
Nail it to your righteous cross
Sing your pious anthems
From your bright cathedrals gold
Flags flying, trumpets blasting
Will the noise drown out the shame
The hatred masked in a wooden horse
Or will you hear
The incessant rankle
Of thirty pieces
Silver.

Black Jet
Fly
Like a bomb over head
Melted metal cockpit
World spinning round a blood blue sky
Dive
__into memory
____Deep
_____into dream
______Die
_______in the fire
________of a cold infant eye
The smoke surrounds us
Seeming always, the burn of the wreckage
The truth yet obscured by a lie.

Blows to the Head
the rules were laid
inside his head
in block cement
we had to take a hammer
to his skull
to break the hardening
of thought and mind
set free the demons
of his passion
allow
the precious seed
of wisdom
to sprout
in fingers
of his art
a becoming of
rare significance
too great to be ignored.
