Beauty (Free Verse)
What is beauty?
Its just another label.
No longer a description,
But, rather.. a definition.
Girls everywhere are starving
To be thin.
Because, ladies, lets face it:
Thin.
Is.
In.
Anorexia- Sell your soul for something more!
Bulimia- Because its never quite good enough.
Body.
Body.
Body.
Go on and label me.
I know youd do it anyway.
Make me your trophy.
Make me your jewel.
Am I good enough yet?
Five pounds
Gone.
Ten pounds
Twenty
Thirty
Dust
Ashes
Separated from this
Body.
Body.
Body.
To ANA....

I Am.. (free verse)
Cold. Tired. Frustrated. Lonely. Upset. Hurt. Very hurt. Weak. Strong. Right. Wrong. Certain. Unsure. Confused. Incapable. Not qualified. Not good enough. Small. Minuscule. Insecure. A detriment to society. A rock in my family's shoe. The exception. The one that got away. The one that they were wrong about. The one that they were right about. The one that makes them laugh. The one that sees them cry. The one that cries alone. A barricade holding them back. Someone who brings them pain. The girl they'd hate to see slip away. The girl who's slipping away. The girl who's already gone. A knock a the door. A stinging winter wind in the trees. The tap, tap, tapping of the tree branch against your window. Innocent. Guilty. Virgin. Slut. Worthy. Dirty. Delinquent. Falling apart. Holding the world together with a smile. Carrying your pain on my shoulders. The floor beneath your feet. The belt across your chest. The drunk driver in the next lane. The cloud that blocks the sun. The chill up your spine. Your diary. A nail in your cross. The ink in your pen. The misprint you threw away.

Dirty, Dirty Secrets
Dirty little secrets.
Turning us into liars.
But too good
To give up.
Make you sweat.
Make you shake.
Eat you alive
Until you break.
Oh, these secrets of mine and ours.
These filthy, dirty secrets
Taste so good.
Certainly, they must be
Sins.

The Art of Death
Death by murder- death by chance
Death by secret night romance
Death by number- paint the lines
Death in color, or black and lie
Accidental- planned, prolonged
Death by always doing wrong
Death by self- a timeless art
Death by one last broken heart
