Your Virtue Of Silence
You said Silence is a virtue
But its just a cruel device
You're just shutting off your feelings
so nobody can hurt you
You twist the virtue's meaning
To pacify your inner screaming
Because you fear going insane
Over little things mudane
Like an assassin with a rifle
You shoot out every trifle
Every suiter at your castle
Avoiding every hassle
Every one who dared to care
Was lured to your snare
Your way of dealing
Is to pretend you have no feeling
But it's clear you did
That's why you kept it hid
Because your vain silence
You don't realize is violence
You put others on a shelf
To protect your fragile self
As if they count for nothing more
than hearts scrawled on your door
So cry your eyes out Rapunzel
Nobody sees your tears on the floor
Please realize your virtue
Is the thing that hurt you
Not to put myself above you
I was only here to love you
Love is worth repeating
Not meant for deleting
And of the virtue that hurt you
Now feel your treasured silence!

Your Words
Your words are as powerful
as I belive your soul to be gentle
and this is why I sit by the water's edge
and watch the amber and magenta leaves turn in the updraft
and wish upon one at it tears from it's branch
and wonder if the wind can carry it to your shore
just so you will know
I think of you
as if somehow it might matter
that I dream impossible dreams
with all that's left of my heart

You're More Than An Internet Friend To Me
You prop me up in ways you can't see
You see something that I can't see in me
You make me heal inside, and do so kindly
You let me slide on things and don't remind me
You gently pick me up when you notice I'm down
From far away you can even sense my frown
You have a way of picking me off the ground
And you appear just when I find nobody is around
You come and go and disappear witout a sound
and later when I think you're gone, you're suddenly found
We share a lot of emotion us two
We pick each other up when we're blue
Sorry for any hurt I may put you through
though we're far away, somewhere in Timbuktu
Through the computer keys I feel your gentle touch
I feel your spirit and know you've 'got my back' in a clutch
The friendship you give freely to me feels so plush
and when people run away, you stay and never rush
I miss you much!
Though you're somoene I can't see
I feel your care radiate through me
and it calms my churning sea
reminding me that love is really free
I hope one special day we get a chance to meet
I'll be humble and at your feet
to thank you for leading me to humility
to see of friendship what I was meant to see
but for now I just want you to know
You're more than an internet friend to me

You're Nobody
You're nobody
You don't belong really to anybody
And nobody really knows you
But someday
Somewhere
You'll be somebody
You'll be treated kinder
With love, affection and care
You'll be somebody to someone
Slowly you'll learn to trust again
To love again
And the world will open up
Today is not that day
But the day may coming soon
So don't lose faith
Though you're nobody today
