Good Destruction 2
destroy prejudice
and hate
fear of the 'different from me'
open wide
eyes to see
all brothers and sisters
we be
shelter for each other
like a welcoming
shade tree

good mental health
give me good mental health
avoid self-deception
lies i may tell myself
subconscious falsities, twisters
that creep with stealth
'the truth will set you free'
so help me
self-honest always be
Revealer, Advisor, Friend and 'Shrink'
be my best
mental health link!
with friends who tell the truth
and clearly see
do whatever i need to avoid
any ridiculous religious
or secular damaging creed
live in balance
not a tire out of whack,
roll smoothly and true
give me my life back!

Labor Day
Labor Day is nearly every day
for all of us who work.
We enjoy the fruit of others' labor -
clothes, food, house, car, TV,
roads to drive on, restaurants to eat in.
We enjoy these 'gifts' from others
who labor, usually anonymously.
It's easy to take it all for granted.
Consider: everything you own, use, and enjoy -
from shoes to stereo - was made
by a fellow human being, probably somewhere far away.
It's a service economy; we serve each other
by the work we do. More than wages earned,
we find meaning in serving others
with our skills and talents.
'The greatest among you shall be your servant, '
a wise man once said.
There are millions of great, ordinary people
who serve us by the work they do so well.

nba humor?
we need to see
more nba humor
too many serious big men
God, some humor send!
who needs ego on display?
just have fun and play!
lighten up, share that ball
short or tall
team is more fun than me
it's us - we!
pass the ball, guys
like those unselfish inspired gals
