  197.

made free

if the Son makes you free
you will be free
indeed

why he did willingly bleed

keep us really free, jesus
only You, good friend -
we please
and you please us!

not humans
not religions
not that regressive, old fashioned
dead church
formal, boring

lurch to creaky lurch
like a mostly dead birch

pretty white on the outside -
but dead inside -
give us new green wood!

and useful fruit
from us, your soil
your dirt

  198.

makeup

lipstick
makeup
why cover up
God's beauty?

fresh faces
in all their 'imperfections'
beautiful variety
rosy cheek from winter cold

flushed face when feeling shy
natural eyebrows
curved - short - long - noses
and below - curious toeses

subtle color of natural lips
fat lips
plain lips
thin lips

real expressions
real feelings
not makeup
human beauty - heaven's reeling
attraction ceiling - feeling!

i've seen beauty in 'ugly'
boy or girl, man or woman
the inside lights up the outside -
God's vivid life inside their animated hide

  199.

marbles

she wanted to play marbles
i didn't
i rolled her a marble at a time
she accepted each one
didn't roll any of hers back

i kept rolling my favorite but ordinary
marble to her
and she kept rolling it back
wouldn't accept it
didn't like it i guess

a new player entered the scene
with a shiny big marble
he rolled it to her
she smiled and accepted it

i told her i didn't like playing marbles anymore
she didn't say a word
i got up and left
never saw her again

i never did like playing marbles

  200.

mate

i need a mate
a perpetual fun date
partner - with -
rather than over (except that pleasant way)
dovetail

not a 'wife'
sounds like a slave
i want to be free
love our simple key

a gal pal
sold out to jesus
the Person she aims her heart at -
pleases

yes, even that way!

loses her life
(loses the moniker 'wife')
to find it

fresh start
led by God's heart

God, please send her!
the right one
a little sun
much fun!
