What Are We Only Life Forms
What are we only life forms when all is said and done
And that applies to you and i as well as to everyone
We have been born with a consciousness though Nature only lives forever more
Yet many believe in an afterlife beyond this Earthly shore
We were led to believe as children that God has an all seeing eye
And when people talk of their God they look up towards the sky
And in their vivid imaginings they swear God's face they see
Yet we only see what we want to see that's how it does seem to me
The old horse in the paddock perhaps in one way only different to i
He does not know or so it does seem that he was born to die
And when he does not know of death the fear of death he does not fear
Yet he and i are mortals and our end to us is near
What are we only life forms born to mortality
Though most with my opinions would strongly disagree.

What Are We Only Mortal Beings
I am confused in my thinking of that why should I lie
What are we only mortal beings born into life to die
Many of us give life to children so our genes will live on
When we have gone forever to the forever gone
There are so many people in the bigger World out there
Who are Homeless and Stateless and not wanted anywhere
In a Human World of too many people too much poverty
And only in the minds of the credulous there is equality
From fear of torture and famine so many do flee
No place in the World for a poor refugee
Millions of a fair go in life by circumstance of birth denied
And the gap between the haves and the have nots has grown ever wide
And I can only wonder what life is all about
And my worth as a person I often do doubt.

What Can Be Said
What can be said of prose can be said of rhyme
And to be seen to be different from others should not be seen as a crime
In everything that's different we see something strange
We cannot change the World but ourselves we can change.
From the Town I was raised near I now live far south
But in me I still retain the old self doubt
That I had in me many decade ago
Where lack of confidence linger self esteem cannot grow.
Have you ever felt you are not good enough
And though you hang in there when the going gets tough
You feel that you struggle without making the grade
And little out of your time you feel you have made?
The reaper will come for to claim me one day
And in the scale of time that won't be far away
On all things of life there is a use by date
And on anyone time never does seem to wait.

What Can I Say Of Michael Jackson
In life he was a pop music icon and much of him written and said
And he received some very bad press but now that he is dead
He is mourned by the masses pop music fans Worldwide
For to become sort of a Demigod the supposedly flawed living legend died.
What can I say of Michael Jackson since I never knew the man
He became wealthy and famous in his half of a century life span
But what can I say about him since him I did not know
Though his legend born in his life in his death can only grow.
That he is mourned by the star struck Worldwide in every Land
Is something that befuddles me I do not understand
How can they mourn the passing of one they had not known
One has to ask the Question do they have lives of their own?
I do not grieve for Michael Jackson why should I he is dead
Though much about him said and written and much about him I have read
Instead my thoughts go to the poor of the bigger World out there
The have nots and the homeless and they live everywhere.
