Tomorrow For You
To hope for the future one only can cling
And who is to say what tomorrow may bring
Today you feel tortured by your inner strife
But tomorrow may be the best day of your life
For life after all can seem so very strange
And tomorrow your luck for the better may change
Tonight all alone you may weep in your beer
But tomorrow you may have good reason to cheer
When you feel unhappy your friends seem so rare
And the weight of your cross on your own you must bear
Your hair prematurely from worry going gray
Though hope springs eternal the more hopeful do say
But lady luck she may be smiling your way
And tomorrow for you may be a better day.

Tomorrow For You May Be Better
Tomorrow for you may be better if luck is not with you today
The big win at the pokies or lotto from you may not be far away
We all have our good and not so good days that's life one would have to suppose
And money and greed are companions and because of them friends become foes
One day we will receive the karma the karma to us that is due
And that you will find the devil in money is something that does seem quite true
Tis not easy for one to be happy if a good meal one seldom does eat
The homeless do not have cause to feel happy on the dark lanes off of Poverty Street,
Some will tell you all people are equal and to that they do add in God's eyes
If this be the case God does need glasses for the poor he does not recognize
One's hundred dollar bill to another's hundred dollar bill may be equal but equality does seem to end there
In big brother's eyes the pauper is not an equal of the one who is a millionaire
But lady luck herself is an egalatarian and though she may not be with you of late
Your friend in despair she may well be for tomorrow she may be your mate.

Tomorrow Is Another Day
Old lady luck's not on your side and things for you going wrong
And you feel weary in your heart you've battled for far too long
Up the steep hill of your hard life and your sense of despair
But tomorrow is another day and you should hang in there.
Tomorrow is another day and at dawn the birds will sing
And the lark above the knee high scrub will carol on the wing
And who know that tomorrow for you might be your lucky day
Our destiny not in our hands some have been known to say.
The factory you worked in of late for business has closed down
And you may not find another job in this high welfare Town
You must support your wife and young children on the pittance of welfare
You and your wife have talked of selling house and making a fresh start elsewhere.
You battle on against the odds you won't throw the towel in
In life so many have to lose till their chance comes to win
Saturday night is lotto jackpot night a ticket you should purchase
Five million in your bank account would bring the smile back to your face.
Tomorrow is another day so do not lose all hope
On welfare life can be so tough and you have learned to cope
With life on a low income you live near poverty
So you hang in there for yourself and your wife and family.

Tomorrow May Be Better
Tomorrow may be better you hear some people say
But tomorrow will come in it's own good time we must live for today
And tomorrow for some will not dawn that's life one must suppose
We are as fragile it would seem as the petals of the rose,
Tomorrow may be better for only some maybe
And you don't think of tomorrow if you live in poverty
If a better tomorrow you cannot seem to see
With your struggle for survival you struggle ceaselessly,
Tomorrow may be better for some but not for all
And from life we are always learning before we walked we did crawl
That money speaks every language so happens to be true
But many hope for the change of luck they feel that they are due
And many with their poverty are struggling for to cope
And that tomorrow will be better they can only live in hope.
