A Good Woman

A good woman can be an inspiration and inspire her man to greater things in life
And I envy him he is a lucky fellow the man with a good and a devoted wife
For a woman can make or even break you and a good woman is not that hard to find
The men may be more physically powerful but the mental strength belong to woman kind.

Behind every good man 'tis said there's a good woman and with such a quote how can one disagree
The mother is the wife and the home maker and she is the linchpin of the family
She is the glue that binds the family together and to her children a loyal and a true friend
And though the son may be a law transgressor his mother him
will fearlessly defend.

The good women are the mothers of the good people the kind and loving people of today
And their good work 'twould seem is far from finished though
the passing years have left them looking gray
Mentors and role models of their grandchildren and their good work is destined to live on
In the humanity of their descendants though from this World and life they are long gone

A good woman she is an inspiration and she is more than worth her weight in gold
And she is one who doesn't decrease in value though the years have left her looking gray and old
The old bloke who lives across the way is in his seventies and he often recalls his better years
And when he talks about his long dead mother one gets the feeling he is close to tears.

Never Give Up On Life

Never give up on life live for as long as you can
That goes for every woman as well as every man
We only live once at life no second chance
So why not be happy and laugh, sing and dance.

Never give up on life though you are aged and gray
And live for the moment and enjoy every day
Our time is too short for worry and woe
The sad sacks of the town few do wish for to know.

May your last day be your hardest as some are known to say
For the weeks hurry by and time keeps ticking away
We are only mortals like the sheep or the cow
And we only can live in the here and the now.

The great gift of life is a marvellous thing
And it's praises we ought to feel happy to sing
Your crosses may be hard to bear but why wish to die
Since none know of a hereafter and the facts never lie.

When Children Lose Their Innocence

The innocence of childhood it is a marvellous thing
And all children are untainted in their life's early Spring
But by the time they've reached their teens their innocence they've lost
And the experience that we gain from age always comes at a cost.

When children lose their innocence they lose their gift of joy
The joy that comes from innocence in every young girl and boy
Compared to us young children see life quite differently
Of the guilt of corruption they are completely free.

I have such happy memories of when I was a boy
My childhood years were happy years but time just seemed to fly
And the experience that I've gained from life it came at a great cost
For I lost something beautiful when innocence I lost.

Racism On It

Racism on it does not have gender or colour or creed
And the Human World of it is surely not in need
The greatness in 'the fair go' the racist seems to miss
There is truth in the saying that ignorance is bliss
Racism does not have a nationality it is not black, white or brown
And racists live in the countryside and every village and city and town
No shortage of racists in the Human World of today
Yet they are in minority that would seem fair to say
The majority I know of not racist in any way
To those different to them due respect they do pay
In the Human World it does not have any use
And for racism there never is an excuse
The racists as people in their ways are small
Long live the greatness in 'a fair go for all'.
