Silence Is the Universal Library
Is there ever a true moment of silence?
There can be no such moment
Unless we should move
To the world before the world.
Since nothing is absolute
There is no absolute silence,
Only an appearance
Of temporary peace.
Since there is no real silence,
Silence will contain all the sounds,
All the words, all the languages,
All knowledge, all memory.
Everything is contained within this library
In the brain of the Universe—
Its source of inexhaustible energy
In the library of the silence.

Sorrento
In a dream I had, my ideal woman had chosen Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast, as a good place to forget the rest of the world and enjoy the constantly dreamy Adriatic and its Sun. To envision the passage of time and listen to the whispers of the sea which heard stories of lovers, passengers, strangers, sailors and was not shy to tell us some.
Disappearing in time and space, on the Piazza Tasso, swallowed by the Mediterranean spleen, in a state of instant epiphany, we saw the light in a new light. We heard history while gazing at the sea.
In a dreamy and mystical Sorrento borne from the sea, plants and trees told us their stories too—agave and the palm tree, lemon, pomegranate, figs, ancient olive trees—and how many affairs and tears they witnessed in all the years of Sorrento.

The Book of Books
An aspiring poet is usually advised
To use dictionaries, encyclopedias,
Grammar books, books of style, dictionary of rhyme,
Books on how to write, and of course attendance at workshops.
To write, do write. But what about creativity?
How to learn creativity? How to make sounds
Make love in the soul, so one can continue
Making love with the page? How to
Learn from books that go unnoticed,
Gather glances, faces, metamorphoses
Of sounds, lives, territories, languages,
From a huge treasury of hidden sounds,
Hidden meanings flying in our faces unrecognized?
There is no grammar book to explain the world,
There is no book of style to explain the grace
Of a moonlight over the waves telling stories
To fishermen that learned from the sea;
To sailors, warriors that learned from losses and wins;
To birds that fly without support yet sing
Fed by notes from the biggest treasury
Of sounds, meanings, styles, dictionaries,
Histories, tragedies, deaths, births, revivals.
Yet this book is the place to start
And the place to go to for advice.

Unending Life
People often consider life after life.
Maybe because they think there was no life before life
Or maybe they don't care about the life before life.
Yet if there were life before life, it's quite logical
There must be life after life;
If we were here before we were born,
We will be here after we are dead,
But if there was no individuality before,
Why would it exist afterwards?
It seems that this problem is not one of life
Or death, but an issue of ego
Which doesn't accept disappearance
Of individuality in the sea or the disappearance
Of unending life, of all in all.
