She Was Always There
She wouldn't say anything in the morning
When she would leave for work
But her smiles filled the air;
She would become a rose in the vase;
A song she put on before she left
Mesmerized his wakening;
She kept his desire high like every other day
While he waited for her return.
She was always there.

Walt Whitman
'Captain, our captain, '
We take your hand,
Find your footsteps on the streets
Of Chicago, New York, San Francisco.
Your spirit grows from the grassy fields,
Appearing on the horizon
As a light-beam signaling America
To remind her of her roots.
We follow the traces of light
Leading to forgotten springs;
We place our ears to the ground
To be near the leaves of grass and listen
With a desire to recognize our America,
And we wonder, do you know that you have strayed?

All Women in One
You shall not stop or hesitate and sway
Until you pass through the forest,
And compare the beauty of the summer's day and night—
Until you arrive in your own Ithaca.
There is always Venus;
New Elissa to build new Carthage,
The new Kingdom of Light.
You shall not stop until you find Venus:
One woman in all,
And all the women in One.
Until you can say—La Dolce Vita,
Until you find Paradise Lost in only one name,
Until you are able to say—
You are all women in one.

An Omnipotent Eye
Singers pass but a song lives
Feeding the eternal flame
New minds, burning
Eyes, eager to hear, inflaming
Beauty, recognizing the spark
Shyly from afar seducing
Beauty, feeding the flame
Eyes feeding the beauty
The source of firean omnipotent eye
Hearing with eyes, seeing with ears
