Some science.
Some scientists say the earth is doomed
the rich will live upon the moon
and life on earth will fade away
that's what the experts had to say
Explaining we evolved from chimps
and spacemen were the final link
provided in our D.N.A.
but maybe it's just fantasy
Well I don't know what we should do
when we receive this kind of news
but if it's false or if it's true
I only want to be with you.

Still beautiful.
The gravel, cracking like popcorn under my boots as I made my way up the path to the top of the hill, The view is fantastic I've been told,
'Panoramic',
'Why is it that I have to be on top of something looking down upon it to appreciate it's beauty'? ,
Perhaps I was a bird once in another life? ,
I used to gaze down on you when we were making love, you and that were beautiful too,
'Yes', ' Mind you looking up at the sky can be quite stunning sometimes',
'and laying under trees watching the light fragment through the leaves and branches',
'Maybe things look more beautiful when you look upon them from a different perspective', 'Need to remember that',
'Anyway', 'come on old son', 'I know your'e getting on a bit',
'But let's see what all the fuss is about',
Some large rocks to navigate my way through, Jutting out like Celtic runes barring my way, 'A warning pehaps'? ,
'The path is easier now', 'less worn and more even', 'fewer legs have come this far', 'nature fighting to take it back',
'Just round the corner to go', A rabbit scurrying into the undergrowth.
'Up this steep bank and', 'WOW! '
'Still beautiful'.

The Swallows.
From Africa they take their flight
these little birds of black and white
arriving in this foreign land
a happy little chirping band
and so the swallows with them bring
the summer sun
and death of spring

What a view.
I know it all started but don't know quite when
the celluloid memorys fade in the frame
when suddenly pictures return to my brain
from the blue
When I first met you my heart gave a sigh
I lost all my fear and regained desire
my body gave in with the blink of an eye
just to meet you
The waves hammered out from the edge of the shore
he's rushing to fast to pry open the door
he's broken the bars and preventional scars
only love knew
My spine straightened out like a young willow tree
the weight of the world had been lifted from me
you said that you were just waiting for me
was it true?
The years have gone fast and the sands ebbed away
like the feelings we had when we met that first day
you no longer need me and no longer say
me and you
I walk in the desert my shadow and I
with loves irritation like sand in my eye
the vultures hold council stand idily by
for some news
The road wasn't pleasant but troubled and long
my mind fell apart and my muscle had gone
the riders of death at my heels singing songs
of my youth
But I'm not bitter I made my own way
I climbed all the summits and sometimes I played
stood high on the mountain gazed out and I prayed
what a view.
