The terrible tease
The terrible tease
is one of a kind
who'll flatter and tempt you
and play with your mind
but don't wish them hardship
they're trying to please
and seek your attention
the terrible tease.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
Tick Tock, Tick Tock,
goes my mothers little clock
sitting on the mantelpiece
time marching to its tempo
It's sat up there for fifty years
watching my life disappear
happy with its little lot
Tick Tock, Tick Tock,

Who I am
When I see you as I see you
will you help me understand
will you show me get to know me
will you let me hold your hand
Will you kiss me, will you miss me
will you take me in your arms
hold me closer hold me baby
let me show you who I am
When the sunlight meets the darkness
watch it chase the shadows on
how it seems to scare the starlight
as it brings the dusk to dawn
How I wish that you and I
could stop the sun and stop the time
then forever in the darkness
you could hold me and be mine
How I love you, how I need you
how I want you, how I care
Hold me gently, hold me dearly
hold me anyway you can
but tonight and now forever
let me show you who I am.

Why does it hurt
You felt the pain when they walked out the door
and you've been in fights
and you've been in wars
but you never felt anything like this before
why does it hurt when their leaving
You were glad when they left
it made you feel free
like a burden was lifted that buckled your knees
you didn't get on
and you didn't agree
so why does it hurt when their leaving.
