- Until The Dreams (Etheree)
how
many
thoughts have passed
wisps of a breeze
rising and falling
swells of a rolling sea
cradled in the tide of life
flickers of sunlight making stars
the sun rises and keeps on shining
until moonlight transforms thoughts into dreams

*-* friends 2, we meet, kisses (3 tanka)
dog and lizard
resting on a log
sometimes
friends dont need to look very far
they just meet
looking up
looking down
an upside-down tree
we both
arrive where we plan to be
where land and sea kiss
along the shore
there you will find
that beauty
where heart and soul meet

*-* promise, celebration, another stream (3 tanka)
just beyond
sunsets burst of color
a glimpse of promise
so far between wishes
and fulfillment
the sun has reason
to celebrate days end
no matter the weather
we find ours
or wait another day
fish splash in the sky
between big cloud puffs of white
there are times
when we must swim
another stream

****Moving On
from a terra cotta site
aging years erupt with rage
to claim control
while ripening hearts fizzle
with Dr. Seusss double corolla
drinking green euphoria
Redheads perched in Maguera,
laced with Essen-carrot sensations,
their operons auto-racing in gigue activity,
circle in Baroque, a crazy, expansive dance.
Hunters pivot their swords keeping up the tempo
reeling in the fields finding garlands for mountain goats
pop-up characters bounce with alecto
laic in their dens of sheltered ears.
Only turtles drag in the sands
lured to cola regions
following the egg and ham calendar
in regular order
Petals float down the Rhine yertling aloha
the refrain frozen in Switzerlands gossip cavities
I resign my bones to Verdis Aida
Take up my leato and emote a Honolula goodbye.
