Encore

Me and you; we mock
Well, me and you; we tease
Those people that we see
On the other side
The other side of the bar
Trying too hard
Trying too hard to fit in
To be cool
To look as though they are
Naturally part of the scene

Do they not know?
Do they not know?
What we know
As they put on their show...

You and me; we bitch
You and me; we moan
All the pretenders here
Standing by the bar, talking
Laughing too loud
Laughing too loud at jokes
That they could never get
To look as though
They are so much wittier
Than us

Don't they know?
Don't they know
What it is, we know?
As they carry on with the show...

Well, tonight I wash
Tonight, I style myself just right
Cardigan, drain-pipes, blue tee
Before I leave for the club
Hoping so hard
Hoping so hard to fit in
I will be so cool, and the young
Exciting people will think
That I am one of them

But oh, they seem to know
It seems that they know
The same thing we know
My show ended long ago...

Evil is Easy

Looking out to sea is easy...
But cutting a sail
Ripping a tide
And tearing out
Is not so easy...

Telling myself I've grown is easy...
But standing taller
Standing at all
With any pride
Is anything but easy...

Walking out of that door is easy...
But explaining the 'why'
Returning tomorrow
And carrying on
Is not easy at all...

Evil is easy!
Hero is...
Harder, to be
Evil is easy
Hero is...
Harder, for me!

Exploited

Watching her there
So obviously exploited
Oh, I hope she was paid well
Was driven home
Had a long shower
And never looked back
Woke up, called around
Found a new career
Away from the animals
Who make this filth for me...

  84.

Fall A Little

Oh! Could you not fall a little...
Could you not blossom in my breath
Eyes glowing alive when I call to see you
And a passionate want in your every word

Could you not fall
The way I'm falling
For you

Hunting each and every slightest excuse
To come and just be near to me
Bring your warmest wit so precious
To captivate my five favourite senses

Could you fall for me
The way I'm falling
For you

Could you not flaunt all the rules
Forget everything but my subtle smile
Care nothing more for what came before
Now there exists this perfect possibility

Could you not fall in deep
The way I'm falling
For you

Now all my eyes can see is your skin
My ears hear nothing but your sweet laugh
Scents that trigger such magic memories
And a touch so badly longed for
A taste I've imagined so many times now

Could you not fall; completely
Could you not fall
Obviously, in front of me
Down to one knee and begging 'please...'
The way I'm falling
For you

Oh!
Could you... could you...
Fall in deep for me
The way I've fallen for you...
