The only citizen in the city of None
Echoes through the sterile canyons
Served up in guttural shrieks of fear
Explorative cries of misunderstanding
Oh, the self-realization is near
No number 9 dream, just daily confirmation
No warmth of understanding, gone the midday sun
The city streets are empty
Excepting for the citizen of None
Library doors are padlocked
Prisoners all set free
Trapped in a circular logic
That only he can see
Sleeping but a remnant
Of better times gone by
When the ladies came a courtin
And all his sheets were dry
A king amid his castle
Wealth beyond compare
Lost in a sudden shuffle
Of uncontrollable despair
Withdrawn and shivering silently
The citizens face contorts
Oh save me, robots of society
Before my life aborts
Slowly on the deep horizon
A crack amid the gloom
Laser lights of visual wonder
Have split the empty room
From far beyond the sidewalk
A trumpet call, a flood
Heralding the understanding
A warming of the blood
The gift of explorative interchange
Sweet thoughts he must pursue
The citizenry is coming home again
All the skies are blue
What have you learned, my brother?
I think it best to say
When the buildings all were broken
My creativity went astray
Peace is on the city streets
Sunlight reflects off glass
The staggered fighter, connects a punch
Fears knocked upon its ass
The bells chime happily once again
Women now wink, and turn seductively they stare
The citizen now smiles back at them
Life is beyond compare

Voyager
Sunburst through her lemon hair
Like fingers of gold
Her inner beauty
Captures my soul
I am adrift, in love
Let me go
Her essence
Propels my ship
My heart is Captain
I am a voyager
She is my promised land
Her touch, my landing
Her soul my destination
Traversing the sea of self-doubt
The rocky shoals of failure
The will remains strong
Love the sweetest wind
Full sail
The heart will be my compass
A smile will open the darkness
Soon, we will be united
I see, the sunburst
On the horizon
Her fingers of gold
Reach out
I see our soul
In her eyes
I am home
