My Decision

Torn apart between me and my family
torn, like a paper split into two
want freedom on one hand
and family on the other
choosing family over freedom
and motivated by fear
'cause i'm afraid of getting shun
I fake my identity
No one knows the real me
The actual me
Everyone knows my fake identity
For i have wear a mask
a mask that must be seen by everyone
a mask of beauty and elegance
a mask to hide my real identity
a mask to hide who i am
'cause i am an apostate
an apostate in the closate

Mistaken identities

Prejudices come from mistaken identities.
Faith and belief stand from mistaken identities.
Actions are taken from such wrong identities.
Victims are mounting without a recluse.

Identity Theft

I am warned by many
to protect who I am
My identity may be taken
by some electronic scam

Now this perpetrator
will spend what I do not have
And the pain will not ease
with any ointment or salve

I am told many months
and even years it will take
To straighten out and clear
this awful identity mistake

I reflect a moment
at the system we have in place
Innocent til proven guilty
someone else they should chase

A criminal set free
by something not said
Yet charge things to my name
and I am financially dead

I help pay his lawyer
the system sets him free
While I spend my time
straightening out my identity

IDENTITY CRISIS

IDENTITY CRISIS
I took birth as daughter,
My identity was of a daughter,
Then i became beloved and wife,
I framed myself in a house,
Then i became a mother,
I am in a fix,
To think,
About my real identity
