Hopeful Heart

A hopeful heart – handing out illusions –
Worn atop a satin sleeve;
Naivety was dripping out delusions –
'Twas an open gash – to so deceive
A little further, such a pretty mind.

Her whitened innocence, rare today;
And lest we ruin another soul,
Leave and let it be – we'll pray the trust
Will emanate a loving whole
For our appreciation; hear the plea.

Hollow

Scarred heart
Burnt heart
Hollow heart
Rid of all promises,

Healed my heart
Helped my heart
Filled my heart
With all of his sweet promises,

Hopeful heart
Happy heart
Loved heart
Survived on those promises,

But beating heart
Tainted heart
Hurt his heart
Broken promises,

Regretful heart
Reformed heart
The same heart
Kept remaining promises,

His tainted heart
His harmed heart
His mistrusted heart
Left empty promises,

Hollow mind
Hollow soul
Hollow heart
For which his hollow promises,

Left me shattered in pieces.

'Oh, Heart'

Oh heart, oh heart, why must you beat?
Oh heart, oh heart, why must you weap?
Oh heart, oh heart, why must you hide?
Oh heart, oh heart, what lies inside?
Oh heart, oh heart, why must you cry?
Oh heart, oh heart, why do you despise?
Oh heart, oh heart, why are you weak?
Oh heart, oh heart, why can't you speak?
Oh heart, oh heart, why must you burn?
Oh heart, oh heart, why can't you learn?
Oh heart, oh heart, what went wrong?
Oh, heart, oh heart, can't you be strong?
Oh heart, oh heart, why are you blue?
Oh heart, oh heart, where are you?

My heart

A heart so young
A heart of gold
A heart sublime
A heart my own
A heart that's taken
A heart that's open
A heart that's dying
A heart that's broken
