Itβs funny how nothingness takes too long to end
How anticipation speed time.
Itβs funny how weβd want for cries to end
For smiles to never cease.
Itβs funny how promises turn to regret
How surprises become significant.
Itβs funny how love for us ends
When love never really does.
Itβs funny how our defenses crumble
Yet we are strong enough to hope.
Itβs funny how we want dreams to be real
When reality feels like an absolute dream.
Itβs funny how we wish to feel heaven
When being with her/him on earth is greater.
Itβs funny how in darkness we find light
When light exists to rid us of darkness.
Itβs funny how bravely we say goodbye
Only to fear what happens next.

Funny Money
Some poems may be funny,
But mine is not so funny,
A shocking reality,
That involves money.
The funny thing about money,
It makes the world go round,
The real and funny money,
Banks make the world go around,
By loaning and keeping money,
A dirty secret found,
They even do the laundry,
We all are so confound!
We love the smell of money,
But don't smell the funny money,
The banks are in big trouble,
They found one, now it's double.
And that's not so funny,
Coz it's one too many.

Stand-Up Comedians
Stand-up comedians so funny
Joke around to earn their money
Theyre never funny sitting down
But when standing vertically upright
Their comedic humor is out of sight
Funny-ing as they act like stand-up clowns
They just cant be funny or sassy
Sitting on their sorry assys
Perpendicular they invite loud guffaws
And with their joke-around renditions
In their stand-around positions
They welcome all appreciative applause
When theyre on stage it is behooved
To have all the sit-down chairs removed
So they can fill the halls with tons of laughter
So these stand-up fools so funny
Can earn rafts of funny money
The house is filled with laughs up to the rafter

It's funny to see a bunny, hop on top a carrot cop.
It's funny to see honey, drip on Chips big lip.
It's funny to see money, fly sky high in an apple pie.
It's funny to see sunny, shine on brine while drinking wine.
It's funny to see gunny, shoot and scoot while steeling loot.
It's funny a poet, can write about nothing...and know it!
