Dream knight
The dark fog sweeps in surrounding me again
Intensifying my world of hurt and pain
I long for someone to hold me when I'm sad
To help conquor the fog make me glad
Who would see my heart deep inside
And would tend the weeping soul I hide
Someone who was really strong
Who would stay even when I did wrong
He would wipe away my silent tears
And help me face my inner strangling fears
I guess I dream of finding a real true knight
Who would nurture my dying inner light

The Fog Rolls In
The fog rolls in
covering the moist earth
and
hiding the world
Hazy and beautiful
Haunting and sad
How so much like the world
of the broken hearted
The world in its beauty
is stilled by its presence
coming over the hills
consuming everything
completely
then gradually fading away
The fog rolls in
the heavens sigh
just wait
it will leave
and let beauty
creep slowly back
into the world again

missing the fog
missing the fog
the woman with black veils
put some cotton in her eyes
now widowed
she wants to be blind
and dumb
she wants to be a mountain
hidden by a veil
of fog all around her

The Fog
There was a chill in the air,
Gray December skies,
A fog rolled in from the bay,
But you were not there.
And all the beauty of
Gray and bluish hues,
Which suit you best,
Were wasted on the gulls,
The melancholy and emptiness
Of your absence.
I live in this fog,
You know.
I breathe its mist
With every breath.
I marvel at its
Immense beauty,
But wonder tormented
Over its rocky shoals,
Not knowing if when
It lifts you will be there.
