A Poem for Lucky
A world that's mourning
A heaven filled with laughter
A soldier has fallen
An angel called home
A 'lucky' shot was taken
A car was the price
A car worth the life of a man
A man that was worthy of life
Lucky is now gone
He's no longer a slave
No longer a prisoner of this world
that still can't behave
Maybe one day he'll look down with a smile
Knowing we're still marching on his songs
When his 'different colors, one people'has finally brought us all
'together as one'

SUICIDE, SLOW or FAST
SIDS babies are the smart ones, they exit early
Adolescents step between cars for a quick out,
or drown in a neighbors pool
Teens have the most options with drugs, alcohol,
Anorexia, fast cars and access to guns
Middle-years get to pick from hundreds of prescription drugs, breast/ovarian/prostate cancers or a plethora other diseases
Elders get to have strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and the like
Suicide slow or fast
No matter, as Death has great patience

Color blind
(This is a fictional poem)
I'm color blind and I get confused at traffic lights.
When I hit people's cars, I get into a lot of fights.
I thought I'd get off easy when I hit a car that belongs to a priest.
But he had his brother with him and he attacked me like a beast.
Last year a judge took away my license and he put me in jail too.
When I got out, I continued to drive because I have a very low IQ.
